PeakRunner was born out of two passions: running and technology.

We're two brothers on opposite sides of the world—one an AI engineer in Europe and an avid marathon runner, the other a cloud engineer in semi-rural Australia, training out of a home gym with no access to coaches nearby.

The brothers at Mount Augustus, Western Australia

The idea sparked during a camping trip deep in the Western Australian outback. With dingoes roaming nearby, the Milky Way blazing above, and the nearest town 600 kilometres away, we decided to climb Mount Augustus—the world's largest rock.

On the six-hour hike to the summit and back, we talked about the limitations of traditional coaching and training plans. Most were static, off-the-shelf, and didn't adapt to the realities of everyday life. We imagined something smarter—a coach that could adjust dynamically to every run, every setback, every breakthrough. By the time we reached the bottom, the concept for PeakRunner was born.

The universe had other plans for us though. On the drive back to camp, our car broke down. Roadside assistance quoted an $11,000 tow and told us it would take five days just to get back to Perth.

Stranded in the outback, with nothing but time and laptops, we began coding. What started as an idea on the mountain quickly became a mission: to create the world's first truly adaptive running coach, powered by AI.

Today, PeakRunner combines years of expertise in AI engineering and cloud technology with a love for running and fitness. Our platform continuously analyses your performance and adapts your plan in real time—helping runners everywhere reach new peaks, no matter where they are.
